Emperor's Challenge 2023

The Emperor's Challenge is a popular mountain race held annually in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. The race is a challenging trail run that covers a distance of approximately 20 kilometres (12.4 miles) through the scenic wilderness of the Tumbler Ridge area.

The route follows a steep and rugged terrain, including several challenging climbs, with a total elevation gain of about 1800 meters (5900 feet). The course takes runners through beautiful alpine meadows, dense forests, and rocky ridges, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

The Emperor's Challenge is known for its difficulty; only experienced and well-prepared runners are recommended to participate. The race is also known for its sense of community and camaraderie, with many local volunteers and supporters cheering on the runners along the way.
